#1 - Til Schweiger

Til Schweiger was born on September 16, 1968 in Königsberg, East Prussia. Schweiger was a successful kickboxer before he became an actor and has won several championships. He also had some roles in early Quentin Tarantino films. In 1991, he founded his own production company Barengo Film GmbH. Schweiger made his directorial debut with the 2006 film Keinohrhasen (released as Rabbit Without Ears in English).


#2 - Daniel Brühl

Daniel Brühl was born in Göttingen, Lower Saxony, West Germany on July 25th, 1975. He studied at the Otto Falckenberg School of Theatre and graduated with a M.A. in theatre studies from the University of Munich in 1999. In 2002, he made his big screen debut as the lead role in Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s critically acclaimed film Das Leben der Anderen (The Lives of Others). For his performance he won the German Film Award for Best Actor and a European Film Award for Best Actor. In 2007 he starred alongside Tom Hanks as Tootsie in Peter Bogdanovich’s You Lucky Dog which became an instant hit.


#3 - Matthias Schweighöfer

Matthias Schweighöfer was born on October 26, 1968 in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, West Germany. He is an actor and producer, known for The Chronicles of Narnia (2005), The Da Vinci Code (2006), Angels & Demons (2009) and Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010). Aside from acting, he has also worked as a film director and screenwriter. In addition to his work in the German film industry, he has also participated as an actor in American productions such as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Zoolander (2001) and Mission Impossible III (2006).


#5 - Elyas M’Barek

Elyas M’Barek is a German actor who has played in several movies and TV series. He was born in Munich, Germany on the 10th of July 1981. His father is Tunisian and his mother is Lebanese-French. His first film appearance was as a male nurse in Beyond Silence which he then followed up with an appearance in the comedy show König von Kreuzberg. In 2001, he acted alongside Til Schweiger in Der Eisbär which became one of his more well-known roles to date.


#6 - Dieter Hallervorden

Dieter Hallervorden is one of the world's most popular and highest-paid comedians. He has had roles in more than 70 films, including Otto - Der Außerfriesische (2008), Der Schuh des Manitu (2001) and Die Wunder von Bern (2003). #7 - Uwe Ochsenknecht

Uwe Ochsenknecht is one of the best-known German actors. Born in 1948, he was a member of the Freie Volksbühne in Berlin and has acted in around 160 films since 1973. He became one of the first to perform at the Deutsches Theater following German reunification. He has also performed at the Schiller Theatre, State Theatre, and Burgtheater in Vienna. In 1997, he won an Emmy Award for his role on As Time Goes By.

Heino Ferch has starred in many German movies and TV series, but his breakout role was as the lead character in the movie The Edukators. The story follows two college students who decide to teach a lesson to their boss by breaking into his home and vandalizing it. They get more than they bargained for when their boss kidnaps them and locks them up in an isolated place. The movie received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike and made Heino Ferch an international star overnight.
