1) He can ride a horse

Wlaschiha has been riding since he was a child and is often called to do so in films. In The Reader (2008), he played a young man who while working as a horseman, had an affair with an older woman. In the Hercules (1997) TV series, he played Iolaus, Hercules' sidekick and best friend. He has also competed in equestrian competitions in his native Germany.


2) He is fluent in 4 languages

Tom Wlaschiha is a German actor who has been in over 90 films, TV series and plays. He was born on November 15, 1973 in Mülheim an der Ruhr, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. He's fluent in German, English, French and Russian and has also performed his lines in all four languages. In 2013 he won the Golden Camera Award for Best Actor for his performance in The Pianist. In 2017 he played Jaqen H'ghar, the Faceless Man, on the HBO series Game of Thrones. His favorite roles have been playing Dr Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal Rising and Captain Stanislaw Malinowski in Soldat James Ryan.


3) He loves coffee

Tom says that he drinks a lot of coffee. He's also said to have had the most expensive coffee in New York City at $8.00 a cup. He's fluent in five languages and can speak two dialects fluently. He's dated former Russian spy Anna Chapman, but has kept it low key, not disclosing their relationship publicly until she was deported from the U.S.

Tom's parents are both teachers in Germany. They currently live in a small town outside of Hanover, where they teach at the local high school. Tom's father is a computer science teacher and his mother teaches English. Both of his parents were born in England but moved to Germany as adults, because Tom's father was offered a job there.


5) He hates tomatoes and olives

In a recent interview, Tom revealed that he hates tomatoes and olives. He also likes to play games in his spare time and he ives a lot of time in playing games. He has an affinity for beetles which are his favorite animals. His father is from Poland and his mother is from Austria. He speaks five languages including French, German, Polish and Russian. His zodiac sign is Pisces. 

He was born on March 9th 1976 and studied Theatre at the University of Vienna before starting to act professionally. 

He was married for four years with the actress Charlotte Sonntag before their divorce in 2010.


6) He made his first appearance in Melrose Place

Tom Wlaschiha is a German actor who has starred in over 50 movies, TV shows, and theatre productions. He made his first appearance in the American TV show Melrose Place, playing the role of terrorist leader Abu Hasan. The character was so popular that he returned for six episodes during the final season of the show. He also appeared in HBO's Game of Thrones as Jaqen H'ghar, an enigmatic assassin who assumes different identities.


7) He has worked on theater since his childhood

Born in Munich, he has been involved in theater from a young age. He played the lead role in Peter Stein's production of Danton's Death at the Schauspielhaus Zürich, and was also an assistant director on a production of Richard III by William Shakespeare. Tom is an actor and his wife, Petra Mayer, is a writer. They live in Berlin with their two children. When he's not busy playing Jaqen H'ghar on Game of Thrones or his recurring role as Aiden Mathis on Homeland, he enjoys running and playing soccer.
